Nanny & Pop-Pop

We had a wonderful visit with Nanny & Pop-Pop this past weekend, although way too short of a visit. Emmy and Pop-Pop have always had a special connection and it continued this weekend. Joshy enjoyed being read to by Nanny while Kenzie colored away. We hope to see them soon and wish them a very safe trip home to New York.

The Twins

I get stopped everyday by people telling me what cute twins I have. It has gotten to the point where it's just easier to say thanks rather than correcting them. Josh LOVES his Emmy, he always wants her attention and wants to play. These are some pics from after his birthday party.

The Bra

Okay, so mom and I thought that Miss McKenzie needed a bra for some of her clothes that she wears. So we went to Target and bought the jog bra for her in two colors, pink and white. The girl was so excited (not sure why, guess she hasn't realized that she will be sporting that thing the rest of her life)

Anyhoo...I decided to take her back to school shopping last Friday. Now keep this in mind, she HATES to try on clothes, but our deal while there was she had to try things on or I was not going to buy anything. So, we head to the dressing room and while she is taking off her shirts she asks me "do I need to take my BRA off, do you take your BRA off when you try on clothes?"

Then she preceeds to tell me that she needs to give the pink bra a rest and wear the white one for a couple of days. She also says that she needs to wash both bras, REALLY?!?!? she is going to wash??

I love that little girl, um, big girl!

4th of July

Once again we put out the flags in the yard, this year all three kids had a blast, although Joshua liked removing them right after the girls put them down.

polka dot, polka dot

I fell in LOVE with these dresses when I saw them in the Kellys Kids catalog. Aunt Betsy was very kind and generous to purchase them for us, plus the outfit Joshy is wearing. Today was the first day they wore them so I took some pictures before church this morning.

Girl Scout Day Camp

A couple of weeks ago was girl scout camp, this would be Kenzie's second year to go. Like last year she had a blast. Here is my brave little girl doing the zipline! I don't know if I would have the courage to do it. I am so proud of you McKenzie!

T-Ball

I think we have found McKenzie's sport! She didn't like dance, not too sure about soccer but LOVES t-ball. McKenzie played 1st base and pitcher at the game and was very good at both. She does this cute little dance when chasing after the ball.

2nd Base

Okay, so this was Emmy and her boyfriend Carson at soccer last night. Apparently, the word "player" took on a new meaning last night!

First Day of School versus Last Day

The First Day and the last day!
She has grown so much since September.

She is now a 1st grader!

such a big girl!

Kick the ball Emmy

Here are more photos from soccer...she is not sure about the game.

Luca's 2nd birthday invite

Okay, some of you have been asking for the finished product on Luca's invite...here it is!

I am such an angel...maybe not

Don't let this sweet angelic little face fool you, she has quite the attitude!

Excited princess

I have no idea what was going on here, found this picture on Joe's phone. Notice the styllin boots...my fashion forward kid!

The Line-up

I took this picture before church on Sunday...I just wanted the girls but Joshua had to butt in, literally! This better be the only time there are in a line-up.

Ice Princess

This is Kenzie's first time on the ice...she did a great job and had a blast!

Birthday Princess Emmy

Aunt Christy and Uncle Wadey gave Emmy this crown for her birthday...she wore it for an entire week!!!!

Soccer Emmy

Joe took this with his phone at soccer...

This is how I roll

Just chillin on his tonka truck he got for Christmas...

This is SOOOOO NASTY

This is McKenzie's creation...she ALWAYS eats pb&j this way. No matter the chip (she prefers to do this with Cheetos and Doritos) she will open the sandwich and drag the chip thru the pb&j. We have now gotten to the point of just putting a scoop of pb&j minus the bread...

This is not my child!

My Little Man

Can't help but to LOVE this little face!

This is my friend...

Riley loves McKenzie, not too sure about Emmy and LOVES Joshua...now you know why!

I am so glad that I bother to make Joshua food to eat, it just ends up in Rileys mouth. Riley knows the best place to sit at breakfast, lunch or dinner is right next to Josh.

Olivia

This is McKenzie's best friend Olivia! She is the sweetest little girl in the world. Very quiet and shy but with a huge heart. This was taken at the roller skating party.

You are under arrest!

We took our Girl Scout troop to the police station for a tour. The girls had a ton of fun and were on their best behavior (shocking)

During the tour we watched as a young girl (maybe 18-19) being transported in handcuffs right in front of the girls. Holly my fearless co-leader who has a VERY dry sense of humor said to the girls "She must not have been a girl scout when she was young, that's why it's important to stay in Girl Scouts." Classic Holly!

Here is a picture of Kenzie coming out of a jail cell...hopefully the only time in her life!!!

Roller Skate Diva

Today Kenzie went to the roller rink for the first time for a birthday for one of her classmates. She was a bit nervous but ended up doing great! Enjoy!

Last Day of School for Emily-Grace

Today was Emily-Grace's last day at Beautiful Savior Preschool. Next year she will be at Sunnyside Elementary in the peer model program. We are amazed at how much she has grown over the year. Here are her teachers Miss Ashley and Miss Val.

Below is a first day of school and last day, what a big girl now!

Our first home

While in Sugar Land on Saturday I had a few minutes to drive around and so I took the drive down 59 South to visit our old house in Greatwood. Joe kept on telling me that he couldn't go back, but I told him that I could handle it. Boy was I wrong...

I was on the phone with Joe as I made the drive into Greatwood, telling him that the Mexican restaurant that we used to go to was still there. As I got closer to our section of the neighborhood I was overcome with emotion. It was like we had never left and yet it felt like I didn't belong.

Turning down Springdale brought back feelings of the very first time Joe and I drove down the street. I had fallen in love with this house the first time our realtor took us in it. To this day Joe says that he bought that house for me and for that I will always be blessed. We brought home 2 of our 3 babies to that house. It will always have a special place in my heart.

My soon-to-be 1st grader

Last Thursday was McKenzie's kindergarten program at school. This is Kenz with her teacher Mrs. Sundermeyer. I LOVE Mrs. Sundermeyer, her and McKenzie had quite the bond this year. I am willing to pay to continue with Kenzie until she graduates from high school, to no avail!

Airpane! Airpane!

Okay, so everyone knows how much Joshua loves airplanes! He hears them fly over our house and gets so excited. So while waiting for our flight to Texas he just stood on the window sill and watched the planes come in and out. At one point he started asking for trains?!?! Never satisfied...

What Am I Supposed to Do?

Tonight was Emily Grace's first soccer practice. She was VERY excited all day to go play soccer with her boyfriend Carson. Once out there she had no idea what to do. She kept rolling the ball with her hands like a bowling ball. A couple of times she would pout and say that they wouldn't let her play. When asked if she wanted to come back she said, "Yeah, let's come back every day!"

Hopefully, Thursday's practice will be better. It's all a learning experience.
